I currently have 3.5 million pageviews, 150K unique visitors a month. I'm trying to find out more ways to monetize the site without hurting it with pop up ads. I'm using Adsense but feel it won't be long before I am banned. My site contains a bit of adult material and warez at the same time, more worried about the warez and adult content.

I want to see which CPM networks pay decent, I used smowtion and made $30 with a bit over 500k impressions (.06/1000). Any suggestions from anyone?

I've tried some of them not really working out for me. I'm looking for some more ad networks that people have had experience with.
 
And here is when people fail to understand that warez isn't about money. Actually you can make money but not lots of money. Now if you had the same traffic for a non warez site you could have been banking thousands of dollars. But you can't do the same for warez. My personal experience example, one of my non warez sites with only 100-200 UVs a day generates me around $50-100 a day, whereas, one of my warez sites with around 6000UVs a day only generates me $20-40 a day. So you do the maths.
So there are 2 things you can do.
If you want to make money online, just try some non warez niches.
If you want to run warez sites, just don't think of earning too much from them.

That all said, the best way you can earn from a warez sites is CPA, such as paysites including friendlyduck etc. Other options such as CPM can also generate you few bucks.

You are SO WRONG!

With that amount of traffic on warez site, you could be making Hundreds everyday.

Have a look on sites such as sharingzone.net crowdgravity.com

Once you find out best way to link to those you will be making ALOT!

Dont listen to people who say warez cant make big money, From my 3years experience i can tell you that warez is easyest way to make thousands, many fail to do it so they say others they cant do it either.

(those programs works well on blog/ddl sites, but not so well if you run forum)

um im also interested in this, so for warez sites best way is to use friendlyduck and crowdgravity? are there any other alternatives like thease sites or some other type of ads that would be efective?

@Webestrian what ads are you using on "Legal" sites to make such amount per day?

If you don't know i actually own a DDL site, ran it successfully for more than a year (Though i don't manage it anymore) and whatever i have written is based on my personal experience. I have tried all these sharingzone, crowdgravity etc and also have earned fair from these programs, i mean more around $5k-10k in aggregate to date. And actually these are affiliate programs. If you use these same programs on non warez sites, you'll earn much better. Oh i have a non warez site which is all about Usenet, so i promote friendlyduck / crowdgravity there . So yes, i earn far better there.
Actually the point is quality traffic or you can say traffic for money keywords. Google won't send quality traffic for money keywords to warez sites, because these keywords are highly competitive, and actually only these keywords convert the best.

I hope this makes it clear.

I am talking on comparative terms. Non warez sites earn many times more than warez sites.

@DuckBre : Organic traffic for money keywords matter. Once you get, there are many affiliate programs to monetize this traffic. I also earn from affiliate programs.
So the approach is find 'money keywords' , rank for those keywords and then just use any affilaite program as per your niche.
 
i don't want to give out the website for anonymity reasons but theres not really much to see on it. i don't think CPM really matters for where the ad placements. it is a forum, so generally at the header and the footer, with 300x250 box ad in the first post.
