Thanks Jazzy. Btw, the point about generating a 1-year account and getting 7300 Rapids is NOT true (at least it isn't now).

Just so you guys know, the "trick" to generate a 1-year premium account so that you get 7300 Rapids (i.e. converting remaining days -> Rapids) does NOT work. Generating a 1-year premium account now (I just now generated a few) only gives you 6000 Rapids :(.

All they have said was that they stop giving RapidPoints as of July 1. No mention of any rewards for downloads.

I had my main RS collector account (over 700k premium points) stolen a while ago and they did nothing because it was "just" a free collector account not a premium account. Hopefully they will help you. Try emailing them again.

@shared: I know this is an old thread, but I saw the ad for sharedpartners on wj and was wondering if there is some proof that they do pay out. I understand how it works, but I haven't been able to find any reviews or information about successful payouts or what an example of a link would be...

Has anyone successfully converted their Rapidshare collector account to a free premium account and then extended it by a year...or by more than a year? Previously, you could only extend accounts for up to 6 months in the future with points. Now, there's the option to extend for a year, but...

@pankaj: those points are listed as per-day i.e. 4 points/day for small, 20/day for medium, etc

In short, as of July 1, there is no incentive (at least none announced, yet) for anyone to upload movies/games/etc (anything that would generate significant downloads) to Rapidshare.

Basically, the new system is only good for people that download occasionally (i.e. download a movie from RS once or twice a week). It's more expensive for all other downloaders (i.e. even to just keep the same 5gb/day) and no benefits (at least none announced, yet) for uploaders. (They aren't...

xD rofl I just realized this after I uploaded 20gb and it was (still is) all stuck on "Uploading to RapidShare..." -_- *sigh*Didn't even think to check that I had already hit the 10k file mark in that acc :$

I understand what it's for. My point was that it says I have no direct hotlink traffic available, even though it should give me 1.2TB. In a rapidshare account, it shows all available trafficshare for your account, even if you haven't uploaded any files.

@V3g3t4: They don't provide FP->PP now and they probably won't introduce it :/ @sniffdog: Thanks for the suggestions. Also, not everyone's collector account is premium and not everyone is a full-time uploader (and even for those that are), so 2k extra points to make an account is significant...

Well, as long as they don't close my account, it still beats getting scammed out of all the money I had made online since December (= all the money I've ever made online) by a verified user on another forum :(. *sigh*
