htop is much better than top. For instance top will only show you the load averages, but htop will show you the current load per core.

Your seedbox needs to have either a HTTP or a FTP server. If it has either of those, then browse to where the file is inside your web browser and copy and paste the URL to the file, including username and passwords if they exist, in the remote upload field of the file hoster.

There is really nothing effective you can do to stop people from snooping around your website. In your specific case you can install a plugin like "Lockdown WP Admin" to hide your wp-admin folder from unauthenticated users.
