I have tried a few VPS services advertised here ranging from $25 ~ $50, and the upload speeds for all of them are quite low, considering the connection is 1 Gbps (burstable) ... For example, I'm getting around maybe 4-5 MB/sec upload speed on a lot of file hosting sites ..

Can other buyers here at wjunction recommend me some good VPS service which has at least 15 MB/sec on at least 3-4 file hosting sites ... ?

Other requirements are as follows:

Should have at least 150 GB HDD Space
At least 1 GB Dedicated RAM
Preferably US based (as I think a lot of file servers are US based)
Should have a money back guarantee of some kind ..
Should be at max $60/month

I only want buyers to comment here ...

If you're a seller, please post actual upload speed here (preferably upload screenshots) to fileserve, filesonic, etc .. (NOT cachefly or any similar site), otherwise I will consider your post as SPAM ..

Sorry about this, but a lot of seller claim to have good services but actually don't .. at least this is what I've found out .. ;)

You are looking for something impossible.

Do you know the reason cachefly gives more speeds? It is because they always have a server near to YOUR server location. It is next to impossible to find 3-4 hosts having servers near to your server location. And you would consider it as SPAM if someone tells you the truth behind it? :O

You will never get what you are looking for since what you are looking for is not normal. Even if you buy dedicated servers you won't get that. Also remember file hosts have limits much below 15 MB/s.

@rahult ... dude you should learn to listen to the other guy before accusing him of something .. I've seen other posts of yours where you openly assume things and announce your verdict before hearing the other guy out .. Firstly, I had said that this is a buyers ONLY discussion .. Sellers are ONLY allowed to talk here IF they post upload speed proves, which you have not, and so irrespective of your explanation on cachefly results, your post is considered as SPAM by me, as its just crapping this thread .. So please, if you have any further queries, contact me via PM and don't reply here as I want only buyers to give me their feedback here ... Please respect this point ..

Regarding my answer to your queries, I've put it here outside this thread: http://pastebin.com/0fE76CxX ... I would really appreciate it if you do not reply to it here and instead PM if needed ...

@ Buyers ..

More recommendations needed guys, I don't mind spending upto $65/month ... :)

u can try boxslots
they are gud
but i m not any seller just suggest u which is Gud :)

Can you give me approximate upload speeds which you may be getting ?

dont expect more than 4-10mb/s for 30$ ...if you consistently want 15mb/s + consider buying a vps/semi dedi for around 60-75 dollars

i suggest boxslots,managedhybrid,evoboxes

take a look at my post http://www.wjunction.com/showpost.php?p=938149&postcount=135

WOW that screenshot is awesome !! :)) .. Which Managed Hybrid VPS is this exactly ?

What file host upload speeds did you get on your ManagedHybrid VPS, and the other two which you mentioned (evoboxes, boxslots) ?

1. SPAM huh? If you feel it is SPAM report it to wjunction and let the moderators decide ;)

2. I buy VPS and have VPS at several locations. So I am a buyer! I am not trying to sell anything in this thread.

@rahult ... When I said SPAM, I didn't necessarily mean *SPAM*, like the kind gmail filters for you .. I know in that sense your post is technically NOT *SPAM*, but your post is completely off-topic ! You are discussing something which is defeating the purpose of this thread .. The purpose of the thread was to get suggestions from other buyers like me who can recommend their VPS provide, and in *this* sense I meant your post as SPAM, as its not serving the purpose of this thread .. I thought you would understand this ..

We send out emails from no-reply addresses without reverseDNS setup. So in many cases they get marked as SPAM. What does that has to do with this thread? Emails sent from mail servers without reverseDNS get marked as SPAM often.

I am not speaking anything off-topic. I am just trying to help you.

If you want the maximum speeds, you should choose either of the following for the US (trust me it's true):
1. Softlayer Washington (or 100tb) reseller
2. Singlehop Chicago

^^ They both have excellent peering and would give you the maximum transfer speeds for a single upload/download to servers in the USA.

if you have a such a good budget, why not get a dedi?

Don't post in this thread. You are selling hosting nah? And ahmadka would get angry and consider your post as SPAM because you are a seller!!

I saw that this thread did not get much of a "BUYER'S" replies. So im gonna wait on it to see some replies and maybe hopefully if i see some one popping up in my life time over here, then probably I'll think of shifting my servers to their's

Hope your posts are not considered SPAM since you are selling hosting and have not uploaded screenshots!!

There is no rule on earth that says that if you sell something, you can't be a buyer!

Can you guys please stop twisting around my words and stop this .. ? I explained my usage of the word SPAM, but still you would not listen ..

I would only like buyers (and not sellers, or sellers who are also buyers) to post in this thread .. I think as OP I at least have the right to request this !

You said sellers can reply with screenshots.

Why are you so pissed off? Which rule have I violated?

You told that sellers can reply with screenshots, and so I did it. What is wrong there?

The above screenshot is from the 6th VPS plan (lower plan=lower speed).

You have mentioned in the first thread that sellers can reply with speed screenshots. Which rule am I violating?

That screenshot you posted is only applicable for filesonic .. speeds for all other hosts generally sucked overally ... fileserve occasionally performs well, but only occasionally .. All others, such as wupload, hotfile, netload, file factory, deposit files (less than 1 MB/sec!), speedyshare, mediafire (1 MB/sec !), multiupload, etc .. sucked ! And I've left many names out here !

I actually benchmarked all uploads from your VPS and after looking at the results did I decide to make this thread in the first place, as I was clearly not impressed ! Filesonic is the only file host that gives decent (but not excellent) results ..

But its not that you're posting a screenshot here that is annoying me .. its your attitude that needs correction .. I told you what exactly I meant when I used the word SPAM, and yet you're still referring to it in sarcastic ways ..

Anyways, I have had enough ... I'm not replying in this thread again .. you can keep saying whatever you want ... All purpose of this thread is lost now .. all thanks to you !

You can't find ideal dedicated server to upload on all services you mentioned, with 15MB/s. (not even talking about VPS, which perform worse than dedicated server in any case)

On a server that will give you 70MB/s upload to fileserve, filesonic will perform bad.
And the other way around.

Fileserve is US based host, Filesonic, rapidshare are EU based host (Filesonic have few servers with webazilla located in US)

If you buy US based server, you can get good speeds on US based host. (Fileserve, Bitshare, and similar) simple as that. So, only solution is to not mix hosts.

Btw, you can't create rules for several reasons.

1. You aren't the owner of WJ, rules are already defined, so, you are the one who is breaking them, trying to do mini-mod.
2. You aren't administrator.
3. You aren't mod.
4. You aren't respected member of community.
5. You joined this month ffs.

Which VPS do you have? Again I am not trying to sell anything. I really don't understand why you get so much angry when discussing in a forum. If you don't like discussions then it's fine. But from the very beginning you are getting pissed off with me!

I don't deal with file hosts. I was trying to be friendly from the very beginning but you are in a mood of quarrelling.

The first one I tried was filesonic and then hotfile. But hotfile does not show the speed, so I posted the filesonic one.

And if you want 15 MB/s with all file hosts from a single server you would never get that since different file hosts have servers in different locations.

If you would like you can PM me. I don't want to reply here again. Best of luck with your search.

Good luck with your search. I am really not interested in file hosts. I did not even know know if you had a VPS with us or not. There are thousands of customers and it is not possible to remember everyone. I wanted to help you by advising to get a Softlayer (washington) or Singlehop VPS but you started to fight. Really, if you need overall good speeds to many filehosts these 2 are the only ones. And may be Leaseweb USA.

You can't find ideal dedicated server to upload on all services you mentioned, with 15MB/s. (not even talking about VPS, which perform worse than dedicated server in any case)

Agreed to all your points. (y) (y)

1. You can't get them with a dedicated server also, i.e. 15MB/s with all file hosts from a single server. You can only dream to get that with a VPS with all file hosts.

2. Yes, being the thread-starter you can't make your own rules. WJ has its own rules.

!

It's your attitude that needs correction. I am in the industry for 10+ years.

1, You are creating your own rules,
2, When I post a screenshot as per your first post, you get annoyed and contradict your own words!

@rahult ... please read my previous post again .. I will quote what I said there for your convenience ... Please read the whole statement, and not just the first sentence:

But its not that you're posting a screenshot here that is annoying me .. its your attitude that needs correction .. I told you what exactly I meant when I used the word SPAM, and yet you're still referring to it in sarcastic ways ..

Read all your own comments from the top of this page and see how many times have you have mentioned the word SPAM sarcastically .. I'm amazed honestly as how you can just ignore them now and say that you're trying to help me ..

And I'm not questioning your experience ... You may have been in the industry for 10+, but still you're unable to understand what I'm saying ... If you really wanted to help me, you should have posted the screenshot in your first post in this thread, and not after no much other discussion ..

And its not that I don't like discussions .. I'm on at least 50 other forums, and on many I have 1000+ posts ... I like discussions, as long as they stick to the purpose of the thread ... The purpose of this thread was to get recommendations from other buyers like me, and not to question why I have asked sellers to kindly not post here, and so on ..

@both rahult and cvrle77 ..

I am NOT trying to be a mod here ... I am not creating rules ... I was only trying to make people not go off-topic in this thread ... All I had requested was that only buyers should post here, so that it helps us based on our experiences with whatever VPS we are using ... This is not a rule for wjunction .. This was just a request that only buyers should post here so that we can help each other out ..

Also, I understand that from a US based VPS I should not expect high speeds with EU based file hosts ... I'm also a Masters in Computer Science from a top US university, so I understand this ..

But apart from Filesonic, I'm not even going above 7 MB/sec with any other file host ... A few more worth mentioning in additional to the ones I already mentioned are the following: Rapidshare (I get like 300 kb/sec), Megaupload, Megashares, Netload ...

And I am NOT saying that I should get 15+ MB/sec on 'all' file hosts ... I understand that this is impossible ... But I think its okay to ask for a VPS that gives you 15+ MB/sec on at least a *few* file hosts, provided it has a 1 Gbps connection ... right ?? ... Well I'm not getting 15+ MB/sec on any file host BUT filesonic .. And I must have test like 25 or so other file hosts ..

But I didn't come here to discuss Axisnext, which I'm currently using ... I came here to get opinions from buyers ... Please don't mis-interpret my words or thinking here by saying that I'm trying to create 'rules' ... It was just a request that only buyers post here so we could have helped each other out, and thats all ... I dont want to be a mod here, and I'm not trying to be one ..

EDIT: rahult .. now don't say why am I now saying that only buyers should post here and not sellers, provided they give screenshots ...... Sellers CAN post here PROVIDED they give screenshots ... And yes, you DID give ONE screenshot of ONE host, but even this you gave after so much other discussion, which according to my 'rules' was 'not allowed' ...

EDIT 2: I said the last part of the previous edit sarcastically .. Please don't twist these words now ..
