hello,

For the last two days, a jealous Indian fuck has been DDoSing (Yes DDoS as in botnet) couple of the top streaming sites on every major event.

I need some help choosing a new host, taking into consideration my previous configuration how things are setup and how they failed.

Server A - Back-End DB+WWW
Server B - Front-End to a Rev. Pxy

Server A, No attacks, safe.

Server B, Cisco 5505 HW Firewall on a Dual Core server that is barely using 70MB/4GB RAM and it was able to handle upto 2500 members at a time.(Legit req)

After saturday's attack, I moved to cloudflare, didn't help either.
The server got hit bad, not accessible the server company is fucking me over now.

First they told me Firewall will handle it all, I paid 185 euro for it. (Setup + Month)

Now they're telling me to get a better server, this can't handle it, but they won't acknowledge those fucks don't know how to configure a firewall!

-----------

I need a new host now. I have been told having a 1Gbps port will be more helpful during an attack? Offshore would still be preferred.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

EG

Don't go with any host from WJunction. They will all take your money and run. Stay with known datacenters. Pick a location and do some research. If you have the cash to be renting a firewall it may be cheaper in the long run to purchase a 2 servers from dell or HP etc and ship them to the DC. That way you don't have to deal with the BS that they feed you and it's your equipment :)

I can give you shared DDoS protected hosting for $300/mo

50GB disk space
1.5 TB data transfer
Protection upto 1Gbps
2Mbps clean traffic
128k packets per sec

pm me if you need it

For fucks sake you greedy sellers gtfo if you just post your shit without reading anything X-(

@Evil which Datacenter or host were you using earlier ?

Dont waste your time here or with any host and get a REAL cisco firewall from a Datacenter

Get your server from Leaseweb, Netdirekt, Softlayer or Theplanet (if you budget allows to) or hostgator if its legit

Those datacenters will give you real Paid DDOS protection unlike thugs you take money for Hardware firewall protection in name of Cisco and install just a CSF :|

PS: Go for a good datacenter

I know they're just puzzies :P

Leaseweb / Rapidspeeds are on list.

if a server has KVM, and you are dosed, does that go offline too?

Serverconnect.se

HW firewall was a phail.

KVM dont go offline even if your server is offline as per I know

Also, I had suggest avoid colocators as well since they can aswell only access the server via KVM or remote API.

Only the guys in main datacenter can access your server instantly and in real upon management service if you have bought it :)

I know what you mean.

I never go with middle mans

:)

As far as I know, the best security you can get by paying for management and firewall is available at Netdirekt, Leaseweb, Hostgator (Yup they are awesome) , ThePlanet (the best but could cost you fortune) , Softlayer (Good but still costly)

Other datacenters you might want to contact are PrivateLayer, SecuredServers (ummm Avoid it, colocation) , 100TB (avoid it as well, resellers of Softlayer)

Burstnet is also a good datacenter with budget rates for your use. Their network aint that good but hardware is still decent

Try FDCServers, contact them, one of the best supportive guys out their :)

Laughing My Fucking Ass Off
I guess you site under ddos attack because of such bad behave.
Do you know how to respect?

Some kids donno what is real DDoS protection.
That's why i am silent here about hosting offer.
No one can give you real protection below this rate.

Good luck

Actually if you search this forum i have never complained about
not being able to handle a DDOS attack and real protection
at a shared level is no where near that price!

And your 1Gbit protection is nothing xD

Real DDOS Protected Shared Hosting@
50GB HDD
1000GB BW
is no more than $50

Well said :)

A Cisco hardware firewall would cost around $300-500 or even more itself (a good one) and its setup cost as well

Then you will also need KVM (your choice) and ofcourse, if you can spend this much, spend a bit more for management as well to let the guys take care of your server 24/7

I had say minimum protection cost will be $500 itself for a server

Can you please stop B.S'ing my thread.
you fucktards always do this when i want a decent technical advice.

Just GTFO with your offers! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!
