this is my website stats...

can someone please explain what could have happen each time that made the sudden changes? (mainly referring to the google webmasters pic i.e the 2nd pic)

doing only on-page SEO and have 1 backlink hehe

The top graph is fine. As for the Google Webmaster one all the necessary data is just under that graph if you read it. If you don't understand it post it here.

That means I need to see a screenshot of it.
 
What does average position mean?

I'd assume if it said 5.0 the position of my keyword will be displayed on page 5 in the search results for that keyword but I can never find my domain around page 5.
 
You yourself have said that you are working on the On Page SEO. It seems like you selected the right keywords at the right time. The SE liked it and gave you a lot of prominence and your site had a lot of impressions.
