I may just be confused so i would like to ask people with more hosting exp..

Ok i was going to switch to VPS from shared with buzzhost. I paid the amount due of $10 for that months shared invoice then the VPS was $60 a month so i went ahead and paid it. After paying $70 that day They said it would be on shortly it wasnt. The next day i got a email saying it was setup but with errors and may be best if i stayed on shared. I agreed.. I then was told the money i paid would go to the shared account. Anyway 3 weeks later i get suspended for non payment, also i get a bill for shared and vps for another $61 dollars.. And every time i say i VPS i get "we can only go by what on the billing system" So just asking am i wrong? Any info would be great.. Thanks guys

Company has been sold to Krun!x (Owner of KnownSRV.com) and I'm sure he'll help you with that. If you really paid for the VPS, it'll be in the BuzzHost's WHMCS Database.

I suggest you contact Krun!x the new owner, hopefully there is proof of your payment and you guys can sort it out, otherwise its just your money down the drain
 
thanks for info guys.. Yes i paid with paypal and i have proof of payments. I just didnt know if i was wrong for inquiring about this matter to the new owners or if i should just suck it up and go with it. Im not here to flame or disrespect them, not asking for a refund or anything, would just like the paid credit to go towards the account i have like i was told. Once again thanks

I went ahead and continued your hosting. You have to understand you have 2 active services in the billing area. If old management didn't know how to setup your VPS you should have cancelled your VPS.

It's sorted out, no need for another pointless thread.
 
Guys im not here to bust no ones balls and not here to flame.. Just to see what im missing in the whole hosting thing.. I have lost alittle over $500 to host in the last three months. And no Krun!x you didn't go ahead and continue my hosting. You made me pay again to reinstate service..i'm probably not the guy you want to cross or lie to when you own a hosting company.. But enough about you.. I am simply wanting members opinions when it comes to hosting.. How much is normal price for VPS, shared, DC'c? On my new site i have i think 1200 members and counting so what would i need? I have owned a lot of sites but this is my first vbulletin site thats what confusing with hosting.. So any info would be great guys..

Usually when a business is brought out such as Krun!x buying Buzzhost, liablity for the debt is now with the new owner, unless prior agreements have been made.

Now this is where the problem lies Both parties are denying Liablity for debt
as they do not seem to have agreed liablity prior to the sale, Krun!x is telling people to contract Forgiven and Forgiven is sending people to Krun!x. (or atleast they where in another topic i saw a few days ago.)

I understand you are currently $81 out of pocket, but while Krun!x & Forgiven are blaming each other there is no real resolution, the problem is we dont know the truth e.g. who agreeded to be liable for it, Krun!x should have Agreed Libality with Forgiven prior to the sale which he does not seem to have done, hence in a diffrent topic they are blaming each other.

Personally i would say liablity lies with Krun!x to refund or give you a credit note for the $81 (if you have proof of payment), and then it is up to him if he accepts full liablity and takes the hit, or chases Forgiven for the money.

With regard to your site being only 1200 members, aslong as you do not get many concurrent connections (members on at the same time) you should be ok with shared.
 
The average VPS runs $15~$20 pending on if you need a control panel i would recommend cPanel, It will run another $14.00 even

with just 1200members a basic vps of about 1GB of ram should be just fine

Thanks you.. Yes i do have proof of payments it was via paypal. and i didn't want a refund i wanted credit then they wouldnt have to worry about losing a customer. But after all the replies and changing the subject on the support tickets i put in i would of settled for a simple sorry we f***ed up.. I just do like the way they was trying to put it on me. As for raymond (forgiven) all he said was "yes i remember but cant do anything"

Well, he is in part correct, assuming the handover is complete his access will be revoked, so he cannot change the dates of your account but he could refund you as it was him you paid or speak to Krun!x about it, but again ultimatly this all comes down to liablity which is something Krun!x and Forgiven need to sort out between themselves and then take appropriate action.
