It's not a matter of how many resources country has, but how those resources are spent. Take a look at ireland
. In 15 years they transformed from being niggers/mexicans of europe to one of leading countries of EU.

Seriously... we could use another person like Hitler, so that politicans put their shit together ( don't get me wrong - i don't condone waging wars and mass murdering entire nations, and WW2 left my country in ruin, but almost every old person in poland will say that during ocupation you could leave your bike in front of home unchained and noone stole it overnight. Taxes used to support huge army and waging war to most of the world were three times lower than current taxes, when we live in times of peace X-( )
I pulled ireland's growth over 15 years as an example, since i'm the most familiar with it, but just look at modern china - it's growing with 10+% GDP each year - that means that in only 3 years entire country it's 1/3 times richer

Unemployment rate is less than 5%, Minimum wage for 18+ year old is $15AUD = USD$16.45 an hour and if your poor with no job or you chose to study full time, u get ware-fare & free medical care :D If your 15 yrs old & work at McDonald you'd still get about $8 an hour but once you turn 18, they will fire you cos they are too cheap to pay the $15 minimum wage. hahaha

Minimum wage for person working 8hours/day, 5 days/week is 1386 PLN/month, which is about 523 dollars. Construction workers earn usualy from 1500 PLN (guy that is carring bricks around and other low-qualification tasks), to 2500PLN (specialists like welder/plumber etc )
Poland has bit higher rates than other post-communist countries, since we switched to west earlier - baltic states and romania, ukraine, etc have lower rates.

I know you meant it as a joke, iMage. However, this community is host to a diverse group of people. Not everyone would take your post as a joke. You're all about being professional and sensitive to issues - then you go back on that by creating a thread that you should know is very likely to turn into drama because some people just don't take it lightly. So for someone who holds professionalism in a very high regard, this sure was not one bit professional/considerate.
Regardless, as much as the old school guys on here despise the fact that warez is all about making money now (I don't despise it, but I don't exactly favor it or approve it. I however, don't speak against it and/or revolt, etc etc), it's not something that'll change. It'll go in the direction that filehosts want it to. They lead, the uploaders follow. Some do it because they want the money, others do it because the $$$ is just a side income.
And making money on the internet is not all that bad - tons and tons of internet marketers, SEO 'experts', and e-property owners do that. They make a lot of money. Having a real job is not the only source of steady income; having a business is an equally steady (and generally, a lot better) source of income. Whether that business has a physical existence or exists virtually on the internet - is no one's business but the guy who does it.

I don't see any drama in this thread, and i think it's interesting for people in US/UK/CA/AU since replies give them some insight about living conditions on different countries/why there are so many people from east europe and asia "working" as uploaders

Soldiers - 400-1300$(depends on rank)

Market workers - 150-200$
McDonalds workers - 200-300$
etc etc etc... Now tell me that internet is bad income for those countries
And there is nothing bad if you earn from internet, especcially if it is legal, like having good sites and earning with adsense, or working as a freelancer...
