i don't think so, if you are comparing "Visitors Message Box" with "Private Message Box" and thinking users will spam -- false

there are many differences between "Private Message" + "Visitors Message"

Private Message,

this can be used for private messaging if you don't want to say publically "so if anyone spams there no one will ever knew that someone actually spammed" it wouldn't be Public nor it anyone can do a drama like saying "Damn! this user has spammed this user by pm" lol but this thing can be happened via "Visitors Message Box" even if someone spams via pm what will you/we do? just hit the button of "Report" and delete the pm the rest upto "Staff" ^_^

Visitors Message Box,

first of all its not private box its public box or whatever you call it which means everyone "even guests" can see what people writing what they are spamming

I don't know do you know, but user can delete his visitor message. Plus, in vB there are million of options
