worst thing is keylogers..most of the keylogers are coming from keygens,cracks,patches !! Once I had a keyloger issue..it came from a freeware video encoder..
Dont download any untrusted software..specially freeware..If u really want run keygens ,use something like "kaspersky safe run". it is really useful tool..use a virtual keyboard to type sensitive user/pass ..

2.use nod32 smart security with interactive mode firewall(advance system for blocking any app from accessing net),

Avoid downloading any kind of cracked applications, they might be posted by a trusted uploader, but you can't know for sure that he posted it, as his account on that site might be compromised. Change your security question and the password of the mail every few weeks. Don't visit suspicious porn sites, and most important, never register on random sites because you don't know these things:
1. They might be saving passwords in plain text.
2. They might be selling emails of their users to spammers.
3. They might be using regular MD5 encryption, which isn't salted, and thus it can be easily decrypted if password isn't strong.

saving from keylogger is little bit easy than protecting you self from spy appz.

just BLOCk you " 21 " port number, keylogger normally use this port to send data to any other ftp server. remember if it's sending through 8080 than it's not a keylogger than it's called stealer.

and i suggest to dl and use Spybot - Search & Destroy it's free soft. and cool too
