Hello Guyz
Just saw a thread in wj some hours ago about some replace tool.
Thought of an idea to create a tool.

Features:

  • Replace text in multiple text files.

  • You can also choose subdirectories to include in replacing.

It has took me more then 40 minutes to code this.

Great Job Buddy......I would like you to implement auto Katz renamer so that it automatically renames all the text files according to Katz Rules......
I know its a bit difficult to code but not Impossible... ;)

So if you have 120 different txt files in a folder. And there is "TEST1" word in all txt files. And you want to change "TEST1" word to "TEST2".Then you can use this tool. Adapted from above thread.
 
If only you made it sooner, I just had to go through my files not long ago and change the path of my images one by one lol, cheers for the share.

this tool was like custom for that guy
but make a tool like everyone could use everyday :|like a multiposter;)
 
Well, I like the effort but every editor has such a feature built-in. I am used to Notepad++, a friend of mine is using PSPad... and in fact I use that functionality quite often.

What If There are multiple folders. Then?

For eg: if there are 100+ folders and you want to replace all text inside them.
Will you go and open all 100 folders in notepad++ ?

how much remove?? I know it will replace but remove only?? is it supported?

I want to change to [code] Thanks for this.. here...ust fucked my 300+ text files without backup.

Is there any chance to make it work with other file types? maybe open anyfile there and treat is as a .txt file? cheers.

Yes. It's a two-click action to do. You can choose which folders you want the changes to be applied in, you can unselect hidden folder, you may apply various filters which files should be skipped. Everything in one, simple and OS application :)
