I have decided to make money in Legit way, lol. I am opening a site with tricks for Facebook Games and Facebook. So I to keep it related to FB, I am trying to get domain with fb inside it. :)

But as I am using FB inside domain, will there be any problem? It will be a good site with no illegal OR theft content. :|

What CMS should I use. I am familiar with WP and can change anything as per need. Is Joomla OR Drupal any good? Have anyone seen blog with DLE as a CMS?

Zuckerberg could sue you to be honest.

On Monday, July 14, 2008, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for FB. This trademark is owned by FACEBOOK, INC., Palo Alto, CA 94304. The USPTO has given the FB trademark serial number of 77521965. The current federal status of this trademark filing is OPPOSITION PENDING.

Of course, if it has meaning in another language they can notice it. It's not meaningless. There are people from India, Pakistan, pretty much from everywhere working in Facebook, Inc.

Let me get this straight - You're worried about registering a domain containing the letters "F" & "B" next to each other?

That would be like Microsoft pouncing on every domain with "MS" in it.

You've no problem lol. Nobody owns the letters "F" or "B" - or any combination of them. Here's just 1 of a hundred examples: http://laffbiz.com

Same goes for the words "Face" & "Book". Even if you join them with a hyphen or underscore - They are still separate words (You might give them ammunition if you use "Facebook" as 1 word though!).

But obviously - Site content is a different matter :P

@Krazeek: is it really that simple? I don't know anything about domain and server transfer! lol

@WTG:
Hmmm... that is totally diff opinion, I did some research and people are actually buying domains with fb, face, book to mess with facebook deliberately. :|

Yeah, but that's down to site content/usage.

People/companies cannot register an individual word as "Theirs". A phrase or slogan (For advertising purposes) - Yes, but not a word (Or letter, or common combination of letters).

You've no worries on the name, unless you use "Facebook" as 1 word. As I said, you may get their backs up with that!

If you use that domain for any malicious end, then that's different.
