That's normal mate, It depends on the content of the files you compress.

Also you won't find any RDP for such price, don't expect higher performance unless you pay at least 20-30$.

* How many users on the RDP, EnCiPh3r?
 
I agree, for that price and location you can't expect high speeds to US filehosts and a super duper processor for RAR/UNRAR.

Everything is related to price/performance.

download speeds are great for rapidshare.....and the general moving about the rda is great.......

Till yesterday it was really fast. Today it's taking 10 mins to rar 700mb on store :|
 
I rarely rar files, only unrar when required. Unrar speed is reasonably good tbh. Takes about 1.5 to 2 mins to unrar a 700mb file. Sometimes it gets slower when many people are raring but that's expected on a shared server. For 8 bucks a month, I can hardly complain. If I was paying 25-30 bucks, I would expect more speed and performance.
