150.000 Euro only
RS remove my 978 $ last year this is my story what others
Why rs have still primary?
or we need to wait untill it get fully dead lol =))

@ snowmanrene because this is teh new generation of *cough* uploaders *cough* and after RS decided to stop giving rewards everyone turned on them here. As Happy said in an earlier post,im not sure why everyone is so happy, this just sets a precident for all the other filehosts as well.and the fines will only increase i imagine

Oh common people... 150k euro is still 150k euro.
Its a big sum for any company. RS has fixed costs, employees, ISP, server parts.. Don't think because its a big company it won't hurt 'em..

EDIT: iMage, RS was still making profit without the uploaders.. RS has made a name to itself.. All the people i know (in real life) are noobs when it comes to warez.. and they all know 2 ways of downloading.. Rapidshare and Torrents.

oh definatly Maniac its not like RS is gonna fold because people from WJ dont like them lol... and your absolutly right, noobs looking for things to download generally search for RS links still

Yeah seems the guys here are dumber than I give them credit for. :-?
Only thing I can come up with is because RS stopped their rewards programs and uploaders can't earn anymore, they hate it and complain about it over and over.

If RS was fined back when their rewards program was still active, most people who replied would of said something along the lines of "that sucks".

And yeah iMage, it does set a precedent, because very soon Hotfile and Fileserve, all those other filehosts that everybody seems to be praising for being the "best" will soon have these types of lawsuits to handle and then when they start taking measures like RS, they will be hated too. Guess that's just the way things move on. Sucks for RS though.

Rapidshare has been dying since they removed the rewards system. Since then people have started using them less. All these monitoring requirements are doing is killing Rapidshare faster.
