Dude!
My Applications forum from my site, gu1337.com, suddenly disappeared.
It's just gone!

I've checked all the logs, etc. and they are all clean, it shows no deletion actions have occurred.

The thing is, when i first got a notification from a user that the forum was gone, i immediately went to check. From the Forum home, the form was there, but all the threads were gone and when i tired to enter the Application forum, vBulletin acted as if it didn't exist. (The forum also showed up on the AdminCP, but the same problem consistied, vb acted as if it were deleted)

Then I decided to check google cache, and when i entered a thread there, it worked. (the thread i entered was no cached).
But the applications forum was still "deleted" Then, after some consideration, i'd thought i'd make a new section to perhaps move all the application threads there. But then bam! Its gone. The entire forum disapeared. It didn't show up at all this time, and all the threads were gone as well, or i assume they are. When I try to enter a thread like i did before, it redirects me to /a/ which I have no idea why its doing that. (It also notes that even I dont have permission to view this /a/ dictionary that doesn't even exist.

So... yeah. I'm very confused about all of this.
So if anyone has had this very strange problem before, please help.

Also, I have a backup from a few days back. Would anyone know how to restore only one section while leaving all the rest how they are.

Help is much appearciated.

Thanks,
G56Ace.

Im not intirely sure how you could backup a section you need someone who knows MySQL i think.

your best option is to restore the forum.

wow, your database really went ape shit on your ass.
i suggest.. backing up that db. creating a new one, and only import things like members threads posts..

Upload the 'backup database' to your server (do not overwrite the current one). Then fetch all appz for it from the 'backup database' and insert it again into the current database.

If type = app insert :P , just study the way posts are made in phpBB and it shouldn't be too much work. It all depends on how much time you are looking to spend on it.
