Need hosting suggestions for 3 sites

Hello everyone,

I've been reading threads in here looking for a offshore host and I'm still undecided. Basically here is what I need.

Site A - would be more of a comic/manga site (eg. onemanga, mangahut clone) and I would probably need to store the pages on the server so disk space + bandwidth is important.

Site B - tv show site where contents would be embed videos from other websites.

Site C - game download site (linking of game downloads)

I will pay via verified paypal.

most hosting places you are told to use here will suck ass. Basic fact. Two that are actually good are wrzhost/scorpiohost for the linking of games

Get a $5 vps managed from burst.net for the other two

Hi thanks for the suggestion. Scorpiohost looks good especially with their unmetered Denmark Hosting.

Do I really need a VPS for site B? (I was thinking that space and bandwidth wise, it wouldn't be too big since the contents are just embeds but I might be wrong)

thanks. saw that they also have unlimited diskspace and bandwidth.. might be good for the site A

Probably not. They just sell semi-managed services inexpensive. Their support is fast too. I never waited longer then a minute for burst. Its like $5.95 and you can throw both sites on it and start another one if you want lol

hi there, do you trust burst.net with their cheap VPS offers? they have been in the business since 1998, and it seems they are onshore? will it be okay to upload .zip files on their servers (just many .zip files required for a website) ?
 
I love burst.net. As I said in a previous post I never had to wait more then a minute or two for support. The server was always fast and up. They are inexpensive. One of the largest hosts around. The zips should be okay if they are legal. Its not host for illegal files.

Does this mean that they are based on the US ? They might now allow tv embeds and manga sites as these are usually considered as copyrighted stuff
 
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm still looking at threads and sending PMs to owners... :) but I don't think I'm ready for a VPS (i have no prior knowledge of such).
 
If you are not ready for VPS, I would suggest Semi Dedicated Hosting, instead of just shared. It gives you the ability to have enough resources you need, without you needing to manage a server yourself.

What kind of budget are you on?

Also, is the material you are hosting "copy righted" ?
