free user downloads are routed through dl.cgi which takes a lot cpu and memory. try to use litespeed and dont use main server for hosting files.

Also, you need different way for publishing updates. If your site is down, how can we read what is going on when we cannot access the 'news' section? Make a twitter page or something, and put your updates (news) there, so we can read about current issues.

We have got separate servers. We are updating it & you will see pleasant changes on filestab.com within next 5days.

You need many servers. You should not be storing any files on your main server even

We are setting up our forum on another server. This will be fine.

I hope you will come back online sooner then 5 days, or this small group of ppl who just heard about you, might forget about you in that period. ;)

We are not coming with new name, We have some database issue & we are working on it.

We have got good co-location & putting our own servers there. Yea, we are facing issues, but we are doing everything & this will not happen in future.

Best Regards

For help, please send mail to the webmaster (webmaster@filestab.com), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

Please check your site again. ;)

why is it taking soooo long? How many people make up this "we"?

Is it the database taking so long to fix or adding servers?

I just hope this will not happen again, because some high traffic boards are very fast to put such hosters on banned list.

EDIT:
mastypk, it's nice to see you have a twitter page. Now, just keep updating it with news (good or bad ones) so other ppl could know what is going with your site.
Ofcorse, continue posting updates here, too. ;)

We are 4 member, 2 investors & 2 workers. Our database was completely damaged/corrupted. We don't want to lose any of our member, we have hire experts for this & they are working on this. As most of the files are missed or corrupt, so this is a difficult job for them too to bring up everything back.

"drunkyduck" filestab.com is loading fine from our end & we have tested this from many location worldwide & its opening fine. Please let me know where you from? maybe you will have to wait for some hours for DNS update. Please check it via proxy.

Yes, we got a great lesson & after this issue, we are doing many things to prevent to problem in future.

Twitter is our temporary page, We are setting up our own information blog & forums for members that will be great for our community support.

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to use our contact form.

How much was invested? I ask because your investors are either:

a) completely stupid and all the money was wasted on personal stuff and non-business. Not only have I never seen any internet ads, this is it. That is no way to open a file host with investors. You should be spending thousands upon thousands in ads across the net to compete even a little. I do not mean worthless warez site ads...although I saw none of those as well.

b) they were two teen investors. Maybe $100 or so was put in per person and the other staff are working free

I'm going with b. Any site with investors would not have stupid problems like this

Is it a bug? 5 downloads & still nothing on earned column (even in decimals)

EDIT: the affiliate page were missing too

jerin, I am facing the same issue. I uploaded few files and they are downloaded 6 times, but still nothing is earned from those downloads. Also, in 'My Files' section I don't see that any of these files are downloaded.

I suggest that filestab start showing our earnings in $ so that we could know how much we earned and to stop giving us some 'points'.

That's correct drunkyduck.
Suggestion to FT: You have to either change your stat to $ or edit your affiliate page & explain points per download for different tiers.

Edit: 12 downloads & still no points for today.. So unless these problems gets sorted out, I am ain't keen in working with FT.
