Hello,

We are writing this letter to inform you that your Hotfile.com account premium status was removed due to detected suspicious activities, including but not limited to:

- Sharing premium account information
- Cheating Hotfile downloads
- Multiple IP downloads

All mentioned activities are in violation of our Terms and Conditions.

Dont trust them, I am probably a heavy downloader (and uploader) but this is its own level of low, 1 month into a 3 month account and they terminate it?

Attempted to contact them over 5 days ago with no response yet (via web form & support@hotfile.com). Being that the web form states that it may take up to 24 hours to receive a response I believe they just down right ignore me, Ill be contacting visa to issue a chargeback on monday.

Further more a quick search reveals I have never shared my account details:

- Nor have I even ever changed my password from a decently secure one I use on my server.

They are starting to close the accounts for shitty reasons. Many accounts were closed in the past for similar reasons. I think its because of warez content. And yeah, they support is totally rubbish. They never reply.

Edit: By cheating Hotfile they mean, not following their tos i.e. uploading warez content -.- that can be the reason.
 
I think they are outta cash for which they are closing heavy downloaders and uploaders accounts.
They are just following the way of Rapidshare.
Soon they will also lose premium members like RS.

My friend SlitIce they have closed down your account and now its of no use banging their door.

Woooo...Now that is total shit ! I never expected such a thing from Hotfile. They should be doing just the opposite at the moment since this is the time for them to gain more customers with all the crap RS has done. Pretty strange huh?
 
They dont allow multiple accounts so I have never changed, my accounts still available just 'downgraded' back to free.

Im pissed that this is what paying for premium gets me, do people agree that a dispute is in order or should I wait for a response (if they ever give one).
 
Ive been with megaupload lifetime, downloading from my server, work and home sometimes at the same time for many years and never even got a single warning or notification.

RS is the main root of closing down acocunts to whom othe file hosts follows.

Chargeback before time ends. If they were to reply you, then they would have already replied you till now.

And thats what I do being smart, never use your own username in any file hosts.:P
 
well its definately the last time I pay for a 3 month account, thought that paying for a bigger account would reduce the likelyhood of this happening.
