Whats the best software that deletes empty space on your computer, like ccleaners wip

afaik NTFS says they've been deleted when they're still there untill something else has been over written it.

If you really wanted to make sure something has gone then, use linux.
 
System mechanic is best to clean up the free space. Just use once. U will get fan of that software
 
When a file gets deleted, all that happens is a 1 changes into a 0, signifying alive or dead. In order to completely get rid of it, you need to over-write the empty space twice. First it writes all 1's, then it writes all 0's. Goverment standard (as far as i remember) is overwriting 7 times, rendering the data completely gone.

CCleaner gives the option of a 1, 3 or 7 times overpass on "Empty" spaces. Works well.
