Hey WJunction fam!

I’ve been diving deeper into graphic design and looking to explore free (or freemium) tools that can rival the big names like Photoshop or Illustrator.

I know Canva is a go-to for many, but I’m curious—what other tools will you all be using in 2025 to create awesome graphics, especially for web and marketing use?

Here’s what I’d love to know:

  • What’s your favorite free design tool right now?
  • What unique features set it apart from others?
  • Any hidden gem tools or browser-based editors you recommend?
  • Bonus: Got any tutorial links or channels you follow regularly?

Let’s build a solid list of resources for everyone stepping up their graphics game this year!

For quick web stuff, Photopea is a lifesaver! Runs in browser, opens PSDs, and feels like Photoshop. No install, no nonsense.
Figma’s free tier is killer for UI and web design. Real-time collaboration, auto-layout, and great for mockups 👌
No tutorial links, but search “Figma for beginners” or “Photopea photo editing” on YouTube - plenty of good ones)

Good call on Photopea; I’ve used it a few times and was surprised how close it feels to Photoshop. I haven’t dived into Figma much, though, but the real-time collaboration sounds super handy.
