Same here. New FTP uploads now have a black screen, files are not playable or I get a message that there was a conversion error. :-(

Earning from old, broken files have stopped indeed. Why is that? My views / earnings went down dramatically.

I am working hard to reupload everything but it can`t be done in a few days. Servers are so overloaded that it will take ages until I get everything fixed. I know you guys do your best but please give a statement regarding this. Thank you.

I am working hard to reupload everything but it can`t be done in a few days. Servers are so overloaded that it will take ages until I get everything fixed. I know you guys do your best but please give a statement regarding this. Thank you.

They already said they are adding new servers.
And certainly new conversions are going wrong.

All the uploads FTP of these last hours have been defective.

I will stop uploading until they solve it makes no sense to lose bandwidth and they for files that are not going to be converted.

If it works badly, leave FTP off.
 
I registered as soon as I saw this thread.
First of all hats off to Gounlimited for handling this problem in a PRO way! I just want to remind everyone that this happened in the past with other hosters and no one ever did compensate user's hard work back like Go is doing right now. That just increases my trust in them that their services are here to stay!

Second, I tried the FTP upload and had the same issues you guys are facing now so I'm using the api upload right now which is working quite well but the only problem is that once in a while it loads up duplicates. I don't know why it does that since I'm using one api request per video but it does. I guess I'll just delete all the duplicates when I finish everything because I have screens and exports of everything before I deleted and start reuploading. I noticed that with the api upload all the videos are playable like they should.

Third, I saw some users asking if the videos will auto update on the website once updated. Unfortunatelly they won't :) I've made a bash script that matches the old file_code in the AVS(that's what I'm using) and updates with the new file_code from Gounlimited automatically file by file based on the filename.

In conclusion, use the api, it's very easy and faster than going to the upload by file or by url everytime but you really need to have the backup somewhere for this to work!

you said that old files would still generate revenue. well, they're no longer profitable

I had the same problem and I just tried with smartftp and it worked...
tried, didnt work still authentication error (my login details are correct).
web upload is painfully slow (i get it why, don't shout) and only one video of all uploaded today is playable... + stats down... so i'm gonna take a break until it's stable again - hopefully this year :sweat_smile:
 
For all with FTP Problems with Filezilla where is displayed your Login Details are incorrect, change the FTP Programm (FlashFXP or else) that should work.

I tested it with https://www.flashfxp.com/ and it works, while Fizezilla block the Login Details. 30 Days are Free, then you must buy a Key
 
Anyone having bad conversions to paid view?

I know every1 talking about earning from old broken files stopped, but i found my conversion to paid view is piss low.

Just for your informations guys,

We stopped automatic rewards for dead files and will do them manually because some users are misleading this privilege by sending automated traffic which increased their income from $2-$10 into $40-60.

I will never use automatic compensation system again. Everything will be manual even if I spend more time but at least the service will be protected.

You will need to re-upload your files and you will be compensated for that.

As for the upload speed, it’s much better. Also the streaming stability is much better compared to yesterday.

If you want to wait that’s your decision, but as a webmaster I am using the service smoothly with no issues like couple of days ago.

Yesterday it was like 100-500KB/s every Upload, today I see that speed only on a few, most of them go with 1-10MB/s
Still have alot files todo, but now its faster :)
I am glad to know this. However, I think the upload speed will be downgraded at the evening due to the peak so I will find some temporary solution.
