Ideas for a PHP script

I've an idea which I was going to make a few months back when everyone started making and using autoposters but didn't bother with. It's similar to the new feature Katz added.
Lots of forums make their member's use tags like [RS] or [HF] and some make you use icons in the post. Why not make a script that scans the posts on posting and automatically add's the correct tags or icons. It's pretty easy to do and shouldn't slow the site or use any resources if done correctly. It's will make sites a lot cleaner looking too. If you do it in vB it wouldn't be too hard to convert to IPB and phpbb after if it's something your planning on releasing.
eg. on your site it would replace these
with something like

I was actually thinking about adding that.
But even though I could use regex to remove anything in brackets at the start of the post, since some already add the file host tags, there are some who added it in the middle/end of the post, so it will be buggy.

It would be better for adding the forum icons like
and forget about the [RS] part in the title as it's a bit more messy. Don't worry about the title. Just have it replace the existing icon which on warezlobby is
and as Maz said a lot of people would be very interested in this. You link checker already checks the regex so you've that part done too
