My Computer -> Right Click on C:\ -> Properties -> Under General Tab

You will see a Disk Clean Up , run that utility to remove all the program caches and temporary files.

If you feel the space cleaned isnt sufficient, then in the Clean Up window you will see a button below called "Clean Up System Files",
Check all the files you see (This will clear your old logs , memory dumps and cache files)

time 4 a clean up

I agree, CCleaner is pretty good. Did you know the before it was popular the first C stood for Crap :P

I will usually head to the tools section and uninstall all the garbage apps, things like free pc tuneup that when you go to tune up your pc they ask for money, toolbars etc. I like Ccleaners uninstaller as you can be uninstalling more than one piece of crap at a time and it populates way quicker than the windows one.

After uninstalling all of that garbage, run the main clean tool, unselect history, download location and typed urls if you want but leave the rest pretty much as is and clean that CRAP!!!

Next step for me is to run the registry cleaner, i have run it probably 100 or more times on PC's from XP to 7, I always back it up but have never had to restore its changes.

install ccleaner this will remove any unwanted and temporary files ;)

Just installing CCleaner wont do anything, you have to use it, its quite a powerful tool with several different cleaners inside it.
