1. you shouldn't run a forum like XenForo on anything lower than a vps. They are very heavy applications, even with only a few hundred members.
2. If it runs slow its your server, its the system admins fault, not the provider.
There are hundreds XenForo's on our servers without any issues. You were on a VPS with the same template like most of other clients(Kloxo template) so I don't really see how this is our issue at all.
Thread you linked to was created 1 year ago, and it is possible there was some slowness on shared hosting back then but it has nothing to do with certain PHP scripts such as XenForo. If you stay within your resource limits you should be just fine whatsoever.
Thank you for the kind words everyone. We did a lot of changes to our servers and network to provide the best service possible and ensure we never run into a mess we were dragged into from some weird unknown reason on the beginning of 2012.
