It was due to technical problems. Attacks... No serious problem as no attack has been successfull but we had servers busy ;(

I do not understand why people try to destroy you in order to go ahead instead of creating a good service and competitive so that they get clients...

Anyway...

Guess your under attack again. The speed WAS good and now slow again.

The competition is afraid of your great service, means you are doing the right thing, just need to find a way to block the attacks.

Added after 2 Hours 21 minutes:

Hi FileMates,

Is it possible that when you show the filesize uploaded, that you give the REAL filesize and not the reduced size that it is on your server. All files are about maybe 5% (more or less) smaller then the original.
Example: a 250MB file is on your server 238.4MB

This is also important if an upload goes wrong (like when there are attacks) and files break of at the end. I already had that 2 times, but I noticed it, so re-uploaded them.

Some foruns are locking Filemates cause it doesnt offer free downloaders a chance :/
Damn

Filemates, why dont at least give free users like 15-20kb/s up to 1gb file?

They will buy accounts anyway cause they will get sick of low speeds

Not yet. Coming in the next version. We plan to upgrade in around 1 month.

Next version will have this feature as well. Price is in euros... so in dollars is around that one ;)

I want to say to all the WJ community that we use xFileSharing script.
Almost all the hosts that use this script count referrals problematically. If a user visits the site through your files BUT follows the signup link or the premium download button you don't get referrals. You get referrals ONLY when he visits from referral link OR following the free download button and then sign up!!!

FILEMATES.COM has implemented a method so that ALL the referrals INDIPENDENTLY of the route they follow, get counted.

This is just to show you how fair we are here. Instead others just count with the default script's method.

That's why it is strange that you have premium account and you didn't get results. Few days ago we fixed even few more issues and this is really curious.
