Sorry if this is wrong section for posting this, mods may move it to proper section if so.

I own a warez forum- freepcdownloads.org
It was just started recently in January, but then was again closed for the month of Feb, and was down half the month in March (knownSrv downtimes!)
So overall proper start of my forum is just from past month only.

But what I see today is its PR is already 1!
It hardly has 2-6 backlinks out there (checked with backlinks checker tools too).
I never did any link building, and I never ever did any kind of blackhat method to get fake PR too, so is it really possible that it went to 1 ethically?
There is also a possiblity that it went to 1 quite a few days back, I got to know today since I checked today only.

P.S- I also checked the domain with online Fake PageRank detectors like
http://www.seomastering.com/fake-pagerank-checker.php
but it also says its valid.

page rank is not an indicator of how good your site is. too me it looks as crap as the other sites out there. atm, there are 5 users online with about 2000 indexed pages on google?
you have a long way to go mate.

Yes, what you say is right.
But however page rank is an indicator of how many backlinks your site has.
So I just wanted to know if PR1 with hardly 2 or 5 backlinks is ok, or something is wrong.. or I m missing on something.

It you have backlink from PR7 dofollow website, you can get upto PR5 [pokerface]
But that means nothing, really, it's just Google's way of saying something that in reality, means very little.

SERP is more consider then PR , you will get SERP soon if u work hard and produce unique content :)

Yes I do know that..but that is the different side of coin. :) What I just wanted to know is how did it increase with no reason for it to increase.

It you have backlink from PR7 dofollow website, you can get upto PR5 [pokerface]

Only one or two links can do? I dont think so.
Though, however for the record, I do not have any such link(s).
