Short answer.. Yes you lose webmaster sale %
long answer.... well of course you lose the webmaster 5% bonus, you are no longer directign customers to the site, adf.ly are on your behalf.

you're already losing your site reputation.

Reputation matters, if you removed the adfly things and popups means, you will get stable visitor(yes they visit again and bookmark you) but no body is ready to bookmark worst site..

Unless you pass the adf.ly links through your own link protector, they will remain the referrer.

Nobody really makes good money of adf.ly links, so there is no reason to really use them. The best thing you can do, if you want to protect links and continue to make money off referral sales, is to use something link safelinking or linksafe.me. Both services offer protection, while keeping the original referrer intact.

Seriously, dude... I know you are owner of big respected site, and kudos to that, but ... If you don't know how to use something, that doesn't mean it doesn't work by default

On the OP question, yes, you will lose site sales, because referral will become adf.ly, and not your site.

There is no need to be rude. I am willing to admit when I am wrong. I know how to use adf.ly, I just choose not too.

I think for the vast majority of people here, are not getting the same level of commission from adf.ly as you are. Most of them could probably 'earn' much more through website sales. Back in the good old days, Hotfile used to offer 15% for certain websites.

Personally, I have never liked them anyway. Its not money related, it is just that adf.ly links really only work in jdownloader, unless you're using flashgot. If I were a downloaded, I'd want to be able to use any download manager without worrying about that shit.

I tried avoiding being rude by saying all respect to you, but meh, english is not my primary language, sorry for misunderstandings, no rudeness intended. Just wanted to make my point, not to insult you.

I don't think this would work, because adf.ly would be still referrer (last site that user used to get download link). Not sure if I understood how would you try to do this.

Ah yes, I see what you mean. You could just do it the other way around.

So instead of putting your adf.ly link through your link protector, you put your protected link through adf.ly.
