Got off my dick, if you look at the default install the skin + looks match IPB 2. The homepage looks like the ipb 3 skin in a way, and so does the logo. This board is clearly intended to provide people a free alternative to IPB. Which is a good thing.

Edit: When you go to the forum users are actually referring to IPB when they have future requests.
