thanks for this news. Unlike the old Rapidshare "traffic share" option, it seems you guys have a leg up on them and offer "unlimited" bandwidth. Kudos to you.

ohh, and take the "unlimited" with a grain of salt. As we all know, nothing is unlimited.

Thank you for your feedback but what would be needed to call it unlimited according to you?

Maybe some high bandwidth like 20TB
becuase if you check on megaupload: http://megaupload.com/?c=premium
They are selling 20TB bandwidth of hotlink for €200 excluding premium account.
You could do same with yours :)

Sell 20TB Bandwidth for $15. fair deal :)

Also one suggestion, if you can.
make bandwidth like addons.
fixed price premium: $10 or whatever your rate.
and you can have collation 20TB as addon, $5 for every 20TB or so on.

It would be worth :)
Because unlimited I think could harm your service/be very awkward

i was about to buy one month premium in filesonic and i saw a new type of account and was confused.

i wanted buy pro plan with 9$ per month but i saw "limited file sharing" and i dint like this...
can someone explain me what does it mean?i want upload but i dont understand this thing about "limited file sharing"

I think the lines, "Limited file sharing" and "Unlimited file sharing", are redundant and unwise.
Since there are already said "1GB/Unlimited collaboration space" there, you shouldn't have put those unnecessary lines.
They can only confuse the people who might buy your PRO service.
To remove them can make better sales.

However, a collaboration link is not fully equivalent to a hotlink.
According to the proof of sniffdog, a collaboration link doesn't provide the capability of multi-part/resume downloading.
 
Marco - is there any time frame to fix the FileManager issues.
1. As the Foldernames on the left is barely appearing, same when i try to copy or move the files.
2. if i make the file "private" it says the "file is deleted due to copyright infringement"
3. In the download page with the password protected file, the filename is not appearing completely and the description too.

As a pro user you get no download limitation but with a collaborate account you can allow free users also to benefit from no limitation downloads, pro benefits are limited to you, collaborate benefits are unlimited.

You should be getting the same bandwith as pro, try it

Please open an affiliate ticket with issues with the file manager so we can solve them
Any private file will be sent to a deleted files page so no one knows the file exists.
To see the description move your cursor over the i symbol

Collaborate files are just treated as free files, just one connection and no resume. The only difference is that there is no waiting time.

I think the new option would be great, if there were no restrictions.At $15 it would be a steal. But now, not really.

Can you tell me if the file you used as a test was from a free, pro or collaborate account.

Now the collaboration link is almost a real hotlink (can resume/multi-part download):

However, downloaders still have to access the download page in order to get the actual link.
Is it possible to provide us an option which allows downloaders skipping the download page?

By the way, I still wait the upgrade mechanism from pro to collaboration.

The option to upgrade to collaborate will be available shortly, you can't have direct links yet, we will add it to our suggestions list and consider it, thank you for the feedback and the download test

Since no sales is recorded for collaborate files the domain sales aren't earned, sales off collaborate account count as a sale and will pay domain sales
