Their SolusVM has clearly been compromised again! I'm happy I moved (far far) away from them. However I never managed to get my refund! X-(

Please post only if you are an existing BoxSlots client or have something useful to say to clients and/or BoxSlots (and no I don't mean shutdown).
 
Wth? They got hacked again? I was under the impression that things were fixed for good this time. I purchased a hosting with them a couple of hours ago and this happened, :facepalm:
 
wj guys you have many considerations with BoxSlots this is a third incident in a few weeks other host will be banned or closed till they have a good security
 
We'll be taking action, we're awaiting for their response. If no response is made in 48 hours, I'd advise everyone to dispute their payment. We will ban every employee of BoxSlots and close every sales thread if no response is made in 48 hours (and if it comes to this stage - we'll open one thread for all BoxSlots clients to use and we'll review our hosting rules).

seeing that it happened again! WTF how is this even possible? boxslots, as good as you intentions are, you just dont know how to secure your systems. do something that you are good at, obviously securing systems isnt your thing

also those users who lost their data again after 3rd crash and starting from scratch. learn to BACKUP your data
 
It is not just about the data. It is about configuring your entire OS and tools. Given I am getting better and better at it, but it still takes me a little over an hour to do it everytime (it took me like 5 hours the first time)
 
true, reinstalling everything from scratch sucks, but it happens so oftenly lately that is not a problem anymore :D anyhow, asked for refund, dont have much hope for getting it though
 
VPS control panel is "currently undergoing scheduled maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Where was the schedule? I wasn't informed.
 
Well everyone, I worked @ BoxSlots. But I don't know anything about it. Contacted support several times but didn't got updates.

As far as I know, I can't do anything as I don't have WHMCS access for a long time.

I'm not 100% aware of all what happened, a public announcement will be made once everything over here is maintained -.-

Someone has it in for us, that's all I can say at this time. Nothing I can really do till I get contacted with rk.

my VPS is still running fine. I already have backup in case shit happens again. but I think if it happens for the third time within two weeks, then that's the end for BoxSlots.
