like ban 3 day if repeat again ban 7 day , if repeat again ban permanent, this make other member think and will carefull to use bad words

I've only read the signature paragraph so far as that's what's mentioned in the post above this. According to the rules the link to a SEO tutorial I wrote on WJunction isn't allowed anymore as I don't own WJunction.

Could you please sell WJunction to me so I don't have to remove the link. My budget is $20. Thanks.

I think you just misinterpreted that rule, Mr Happy. It says you cannot promote sites or services you do not own, a SEO tutorial is neither.

It's promoting WJunction (a site I don't own) by linking to a tutorial on it.

I know what promoting and a tutorial is as I got an infraction here before for linking to a tutorial (true story).

I'm not complaining or bothered really I'm just saying it's poorly worded and full of loop holes. You can't even link to some charity like the Red Cross after an earthquake which I remember elj having a while back. You can't link to a twitter account or a Google or Facebook profile of youself.

Unfortunately, it's gotten to that point. Lately there's been too many referral links and cookie-stuffing crap going on at WJ and this is an appropriate measure to prevent it.

Also, you were warned, not infracted (y).

Mini-Modding – please report problems to staff
Umm i kinda find that first person replying should be allowed to mini mod as long as he/she reports that post.
If you ask why then maybe you haven't been reading my previous suggestions.

That's an inconclusive answer.
  1. Does my link in my sig to a WJ tutorial have to be removed?
  2. Does a link in my sig to a tutorial on how to purchase hosting at example.com have to be removed?

Note they are both tutorials and both are linking to sites I don't own.

The rule is vague at best.

We'll make the rules more specific, I know where you're coming from Mr Happy and understand why you are replying in such a way (so that the newbs can understand the rules the first time -- they don't even read it sometimes!). Regarding mini-modding, it should only be allowed if a user has reported the post/thread and replied to the topic - anyone else should not respond to the thread mini-modding it as someone has already done so?

I like the mini-modding rule - the first person can comment but no one else

As for the sig rule, it probably is vague and we'll fix it. Thats what this thread is for, to get feedback - so thanks :)

yea first person can say something is a nice thing to do, I do it sometimes just to warn users that its against the rules (hoping they will read them).

And hope to see the sig rules revised so newbs can understand B-)
