I don't understand what exactly happened. My PR gone down from 4 to 3. We are running a web hosting site and i had made lot of ON page changes in last 2 months. Besides we are regularly building quality Dofollow backlinks.

Does over modification of ON page codes can lower down PR ?

Suggestions are welcome for improving page rank. Please suggest particularly ON page SEO.

On Page SEO is not a major factor when it comes to PageRank or for that matter SERP's on Google.. one should exercise restraint while overdoing On-Page SEO..rather focus on building quality backlinks that comes from related or relevant authoritative websites.. it's important that u should add original content to ur site..& should have a keyword density of 10-15% within ur content...I'll strongley recommend u to add keywords in ur page heading for good on-page SEO.

It's imperative that u should avoid building backlinks from bad network of sites as it might risk u losing SERP's or PageRank in future..

Nowadays only building dofollow links via some selective methods will not work.Do not make a obvious pattern of building links.Mix your backlink building works with various methods like ppt submission, image sharing , forum posting and so on..

on page factors are obviously important .. take a hard look at your site .. understand the path of PR juice flow .. decrease innerpage links at homepage or add nofollow tag if you like to focus on homepage only .. use nofollow tag for external links , even add nofollow tag for social media buttons.For duplicate content within your website use canonical tag.Download SEObook toolbar and extract every external links [ even with hidden links also ] and do the needful.
 
Seems like you lost some of your backlinks. You should probably check them out again. Or maybe your site got affected from Penguin / Panda updates.
 
Probably some of your backlinks got deleted.
Do you keep an eye on your high PR links, and replace them, when one gets deleted with new one?
 
You never know exacly in which way Google will rank your website. Just make what you made and probably it should get better PR.
 
There are several aspects to get High Pagerank, Design should be unique and not complicated, You Need to Get PR3+ Backlinks to Get High PR Now, Dofollow or Nofollow doesn't matter, Quality Matters and Also, Don't do blog comments with any software if u do, just do everything manually :D
 
PR flow

Well it can come a few factors :

1) Some High PR backlink got removed

2) You have modified on site factors which has an impact on your PR flow (add inner links, or external links which are diluting your authority

3) Some of your backlinks have diluted their own PR flow.

This has hit the nail on the head.
As well, we must consider any changes that Google has done in the interim, such as how they value a link and it's various properties.
 
Page Rank GoDown

Hi

There can be many reasons for your page rank gone down.
It depends mainly on
you may have stopped building back links for the keyword you are talking about.
You may have changed the content's keywords
etc.
