I am part of a gaming guild and we have decided to set up a forum for guild use, we will be running on a shared server since at most we will probably only have 20 or so people on the board so don't need a powerful server to run everything but the software is giving me some issues.
My initial thought was to go with MyBB since it seems to be quite similar to vBulletin 3 which I am quite used to using, I hear that phpBB is a nightmare to use plugins etc due to having to manually edit everything to get them working and I have never used SMF but not a big fan of the sites that I have seen that use it but I guess it could be modded?
So hence the question which to use, I am still leaning heavily towards MyBB and will probably go with it unless somebody has something drastic to say about it I could just do with some input from you guys that have had more experience with various forum software.
