Whats more important? Ram, Cpu, or Hard drive?

I'm trying to find the ultimate Sborging machine. I know that Port speed is important for uploading/downloading, so 1GBPS is the minimum.

But what about when it comes to RARing/UNRARing big files?

Whats more important? Whats the bottleneck? CPU/RAM/Harddrive?

IE: 4 cores, and 2GB ram vs 2 cores and 4GB ram etc..

Everything is needed, that's why we are choosing good configuration

possibly try SSD(solid state drive),
because most of the hosting providers have stable Cpu and RAm requirement.

Most likely your HDD will be the bottleneck. 4 cores and 4gbit of ram is enough for sborg to run multiple threads but you'll experience slow uploading/downloading due to I/O issues with your disk. Smart partitioning would be a cheaper option than buying SSD with limited space.

Disk I/O is most important. You should go for at least 4x SATA2 drives in h/w RAID10. SAS drives would be prefered though.

You will also want a good RAID controller. I suggest Adaptec or LSI(for SAS).

I'd just go for the faster drives SAS or SSD if you need awesome performance.

SSD discs are worst for this kind of data. SSD should be used only for stable files like OS. SAS would be best for you.
