So my q is why people upload music? Is it a good way of earning?

no it is not a good way of earning! the links goes dead twice a day! so unless you have a large no. of free time Re-Uping links! you are better off staying away from music..

Actually I had the best results with music. Because the file sizes are relatively small, people download them easily.
