Because I wanted to comment on chris's reply to this thread. That, I believe, is reason enough to have posted in this thread.

Chris does have a point. A really valid point. Most of the forums on here have traffic but no community whatsoever. But not with WS. Everyone is going back to ws. Its still active and it has a community. I hate seeing people bitching bout how the relaunch was a failure. Your sites are failures. Including mine(not).

Yea most of the forums have no community and rely on ddls for traffic, but those who dont have higher opinion values? The relaunch errors and all with a free skin not even modified properly would be a failure. There are lots of sites here on wj which are by no means failures, and really doesn't matter what site you own in order to have an opinion. After such a long down time you would expect a bit more then a free skin fixed up.

As Ult stated there is more to come so looking forward to that, hopefully live up to the hype.

WS still has a great community and really hasnt lost that, so +1
 
Let me further elaborate here, and it will clarify a lot of points as to why I started it again from scratch. Remember, I said the forum was just a small part of the site.

  • I do not want the forum to be high traffic.
  • I do not want the forum to have a shit ton of members. (xx,xxx would do nicely, no more)
  • In the long run, I do not want to earn any revenue from the forum. (ads on there will be removed within time, and for example, VIP cannot be bought)
I'm going back to the basics, back to the old days; a true warez forum, a community. The only way this is succeeding is due to the past traffic and the fact we're already well known. This is why a totally new website would be unable to do this.

The new subdomains as and when they come, the downloads CMS, the porn, and the torrents -- they will be ultra high traffic, and they're what will earn the revenue. When the subdomains are launched and receive substantial traffic (there's been a long detailed plan to this), the ads on there will cover WarezScene's revenue, and the forum itself will become advertisement free.

To those commenting 'how shit' we are, we had 700 registrations in 24 hours. We won't die. The skin.. eh, it's a love or hate thing -- as with all skins. Some are giving it 10/10, others 0/10. We're working on alternatives. I see no problem with customizing a publicly available skin though.. we were the first to modify Greenfox to Blue, and look how many others (including the company creating itself) followed? :P

The forums were launched ASAP to prove we were coming back; as stated before, the forum is 20% of the total site. So this is 20% of what to expect.

So they are just going to copy katz and every other site out their ?
Why not come up with a unique idea its not "2010" if people were doing this in 2000

well that is the thing, although the concept is old you can always have new ideas and things in it to make it interesting.

I am not looking forward about that at all to be honest just how it looks and how it will fit into the forum and other projects. :P

If it fits well and it looks good the traffic will come by it's self ;) it's interesting to see something new in warez sites because most of the sites are just the same as any other and that is boring for the one's like me that are used to see a lot of stuff on warez sites.

Traffic doesn't really concern me because warezscene always knew how to bring awesome traffic if you have seen previous projects from warezscene you will know what i mean. ;)

It will be funny when the warezscene will release this project to the public and how many people will try to copy it. :P
and that is so lame because veteran webmasters can't think of things by themselves so they copy from other sites that is the difference from warezscene and most of the sites i know.

It's a real shame how many webmasters hate ultima from wjunction and that he was ripped from his rank :| (that is jealous and retarded) and also trusted rank should be given to him again since he didn't do nothing bad to wjunction or katz and you know it he was a admin here and a super moderator he never made a mistake.
 
warezscene is no longer worth it.

it is just a disrespect for all members who spend their time to improve their reputation and try to get more posts. simply ur telling them go fuck your selfs all your done is now gone.

Imagine if wjunction wanted to start all over clean forum because they figured that there are too many kids!
