That's a very kind offer but I didn't think of a solution just for me but for all uploaders.

My existing code is not really a library - but for automating uploads it would be good to have something that gives back the link when a file is uploaded or a folder has been created without having to scrape the site and digging through all the html :-)

Also a link check API would be cool to have automated online / offline / DMCA'ed checks.

You might ask what the benefit is for you as a host's owner - it's quite simple: For the European audience it's almost a must-have and it will put less stress on your servers. Just have a look at the API design of a host that's used much for Austria / Germany / Switzerland: upload-API | file-check-API

I have a couple of people doing this (Scraping the site for a link) and I am already looking at an API function for that.

There are also many uploadscripts available that do this already (I cannot remember the names off hand).

But sounds like you have a custom script that you built yourself - I'll try to complete the 'file name' api - Just been swamped with other things lately.

Link checks have their pros and cons - So I am holding off on that.

What is your website please?
