The End...

It is with our regret to announce that NZBMATRIX / NZBXXX had closed.

We have had to make this decision due to a very large takedown request from a company called Wiggin LLC. These represent the following: Federation Against Copyright Theft Limited ("FACT"), Paramount Home Entertainment International Limited; Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Limited; The Walt Disney Company Limited; Twentieth Century Fox Film Company Limited; Universal Pictures (UK) Limited; Warner Bros. Entertainment UK Limited.

As everyone is aware we are DMCA/Takedown notice compliant, and always have been.
Once this notice is completed we are left with an impossible task of policing our indexing bots. Even then it won't stop there, there will be follow-up notices etc.

Coupled with this is problems with payment providers, we have been through pretty much everyone out there, in the end they all pull out.
There are massive server/bandwidth costs to pay, with the payments in-stability this is a very hard task.

NZBMATRIX has never been the subject of any legal issues or threats.

Also the Usenet Indexing scene is going through some changes, with content being removed from pretty much every provider its making the existence of an indexer irrelevant if the content does not even exists anymore.

So it's time for us to bow out...

NZBMatrix was by far the biggest indexer of releases (both new and old).

Does anybody know a good alternative for Usenet Users?

Wow, my jaw literally dropped when I read this. I had no idea! NZBMatrix + Sabnzbd was all I ever needed for my Newsgroup needs.

Very sad news. I hope someone can post a viable alternative.

I found nzb.su and was able to register. Closely after that, registrations were closed and now vip memberships are on hold.

Another pretty good site is nzbroyalty.com. Free to register, but it's slow at times (all the NZBMATRIX refugees came on board).

Private indexers are the way go, you cant shut it down since they are almost NOT exists, i am in on these of one from X and its super :)

NZBRoyalty and NZB.su have closed their registrations.

For those like myself who have been left stranded, here's a decent alternative:

Use Orlydb to find release names
Then search for the release in BinSearch.info and create the NZB.

Other free places to search/create NZB:
NZBClub
NZBIndex

dont sign for them nzbroyalty.com you need to pay for there stuff and they password stuff

use nzbgrabit they never password there stuff at all

When I found out nzbmatrix was down, I automatically looked for alternatives. I looked at nzb.su but I don't even remember signing up for it a few months back lol. Thankfully I did. Sickbeard + SabNzb + Nzb.su goes on!

Well until my astraweb bandwidth runs out. Heard they are dealing with a mass take down request.

I still havent taken any action, thankfully they closed down while Im away from any fast internet (out with the *rents in the country). Going to wait and see who else follows suit over the next month.

Ive been newzbin -> newzbin2 -> nzbmatrix -> ?
