Test Fileserve Download Speeds on Dedicated server

Hey guys is there any way to test download speeds from fileserve on a dedicated server via ssh or traceroute / ping etc....?

* kind of something like that for fileserve : wget http://cachefly.cachefly.net/100mb.test

Anyone knows specific addresses or traceroutes from/to fileserve servers. ?

Fileserve wont give you more than 3MB/s per connection no matter what you do.

You can test their host (choopa) via the foll commands (from the terminal):
wget http://speedtest.choopa.net/100MBtest.bin -O /dev/null
wget http://speedtest.choopa.net/1GBtest.bin -O /dev/null

I would agree with Scudims regards the number of connection versus speed.
Below is the speed on my server.

CentOS (NL Server)
Rapidleech (Only Single Connection) 2.4MB/s~3.2MB/s
JDownloader (20 Connection) 25MB/s~96MB/s
