Its great if you have a really old system, but for anything recent Windows 7 is going to be better as new drivers and hardware will be made for windows 7 and newer.
If they stick to XP after the support ends, any vulnerabilities found after that will not be fixed and it will be christmas for hackers. There are some rumours that hackers have already found vulnerabilities in Windows XP but are keeping it quiet till the support ends.
There's no excuse to not make the transition between Windows XP and Windows 7 at this stage.
Regarding 'hardware' being the downfall; it's been 13 years since Windows XP was released. It's like complaining that your computer built for Windows 95 isn't supported in 2008..
Windows 7 can do everything XP can do, but better. It's time.
the support for the windows xp has ended a year ago but i have to use the xp because my configuration is not so fast so i can use Windows 7. So i have to stay on windows xp
