Stock Images

Hi,

What sorts of methods do you recommend for stock images for blog/editorial/news outlets? Keeping in mind copyright, public domain, and fair use.

I am finding stock image sites ask about 5 dollars an image. Any suggestions to reduce this cost? With the least amount of work possible? Or close to it?

I've tried searching creative commons and such but no luck as far as quality or even relevance to search terms.

have you tried depositphotos.com? - You can get the large for 3 and the xlarge for 4 dollars. It is even cheaper if you buy a subscription that goes per month.

Their stock is very similar to the other large sites.

This is def a lot more affordable and has an option for free subscription.
