we need to encode the files that a stream is possible. maybe with encoding option yes/no or when encoding keeping the original file too.

Don't "maybe" about the API, it doesn't have to be elaborate or complex.
Just allow it to accept POST requests with the file to upload and then return the url to the file when the upload completes.
Oh and maybe a url we can call with the file id so we can see if the file is still active or has been removed. (return a json response like {active:true} or {active:false})
Easy.

If you do, I guarantee I will use your host. (once the speed to upload is fast enough)
Oldky seems to be on board as well.

Ok I got that. I will discuss this with the team. What do you guys think about an increasing PPD plan?

e.g.: 1st year $ 1-4 / 1000 DL/VIEWS starting with 1$ and each 3 months PPD plan will increase.

2nd year maybe $ 5-8 / 1000 DL/VIEWS and so on maybe up to $40 or 50 / 1000 in a few years

The reason why I ask this is that we want to stay forever and have a win/win situation.

Also you must understand that we have to pay the servers also

We don't want to promise anything we cannot deliver.

So what do you think?

How exactly do you plan to generate enough revenue to make those sort of payments? Call me skeptical, but you seem to be either very naive or you are trolling the forum.

I know gaming has been mentioned, but what other content do you plan to allow? TV shows? Movies? Porn? What exactly and what sort of advertisers do you hope to get beyond the normal malware ridden spam ads?
 
we will finance this project by ourselves the 1st year and also the 2nd year. Depends on the success. If it takes longer it's not a problem. We will raise the PPD plans from time by time. Our goal is to have a stable host that pays itself and also makes some revenue. The more users/uploaders/downloaders come the more we will raise the PPD plan. Everybody should generate profit of this project. The owners and the uploaders.


We will allow anything that is legal. Could be porn as well.

We try not to use the malware ads. Please tell us any bad advertising companies that uses malware.
 
I don't mind about payments cos from where i am, i'm always placed at the bottom tier of payments.
I'm a dedicated uploader, was one of the top uploaders over @ xHamster but quit & turn to uploading movies now.
1. Fast upload.
2. No re-encode of original files but...
3. ...varying resolutions of 1080p | 720p | 480p | 360p | 240p ... smaller resolutions for those who streams using their mobile & bigger for those who streams thru smart tvs or use screen mirroring.
4. Ability to set own user logo.
5. No deceptive pop up ads over video.
6. Files retained forever as you've mentioned & ..unlimited disc space :)
7. Flash &/or HTML5 player.
8. Ability to add subtitles (with options for Indonesian | Malay sub selection in the drop down list would be great)
9. File | FTP | Clone | URL uploads
VIP program for WJUNCTION uploaders would be a blessing.
And add up all those that you've mentioned, your file hosting will be the top.
Set the standard, the rest will follow..
