Starting a new File Hosting/Streaming Project - Your ideas and wishes are welcome!

Hello Wjunction users!

In the next month or earlier we want to start a brand new file hosting/streaming project.

Our idea was to create a music and video streaming file hoster only for streamable files.

This will include: NO Premium Accounts, A PPD program paying $5/1000 VIEWS/DL's.

Our project will be financed with advertising (a few banners and some popups. no porn ads!).

No crazy hardcore layer advertisings and 10 times clicking before getting the content.

We will not use any captchas on download/streaming pages. Everything will be free for everyone.

Everybody gets free storage space. WJUNCTION uploaders files would stay forever.

Maybe there will be a vip program for WJUNCTION uploaders working only on invitation.

We think about to offer unlimited discspace for registered users also. Would this be needed?

Also everybody can take part at the PPD program as there will be no premium accounts.

We will have lots of TB's at start. AT least 100-200 TB+ discspace in RAID 10, SSD drives and many servers. Maybe 20.

What do you think? Tell us what you need/want/wish and we try to create this project together!

Sounds good, how much money do you have to invest in this project?
 
We have an investor that supports us at start. I cannot talk much about it because he wants to stay in the back. But it will be enough to run this project for a while.

Also I need to add that the servers will be offshore. NO USA, NETHERLANDS, UK, FRANCE, CANADA OR GERMANY SERVERS!

Few suggestions:


Media File Conversion Should Be Quick
Network Speed Should Be Good
Don't Put Display Ads On Player
Page Loading Time Should Be Very Low So People Can Embed Your Players On Their Website Without Any Confusion
Get A Cool, Simple Design For Your Website and Player

and about PPD, try to stick with what you promise to uploaders ...

our idea was to pay $5/ 1000DL/views for everybody from all countries and nations.

TIER1 for everybody to work on a fair base.

paypal and bitcoin will be available for payout yes

we think about leaving the files for a long period of time at least 60-180 days or unlimited. Let us know what you think.

ONLY PPD as we will not have any premium paid features.

Of course we need some beta testers that tell us what's missing or not working.
 
My wishes to you "Don't start your hosting" there are already more than 20+ hosting ready for streaming and they are officially featured on every streaming site, there hits are not in 1k a day, Unbelievable hits, So don't waste your time, You may check the official section to see how many are there waiting for getting success with everything they have but no one bothers to use them as professionals are there already, a new of the same service not necessary, No abuse, all the words used for you and your money saving, Regards - Danny Archer

yes of course
we use 10 GB ports or 2x10GB ports
no ads on player. MAYBE 5 sec preroll not sure. but no layer ads over video player
embed of course. we try to make it fast
yes we will have a good design
 
Nice but why someone not try to build gaming hosting similar to twitch with affiliate plan to upload games(gameplay) and earn money.Its only few games host streaming-game platform exepct youtube.I would try that but i dont know how to start is to complicated when you try to build something alone and dont know to start with that.

I cannot promise we can implement this.

How should we count the streams then if it's live?
 
Same rates as you mention before just make platform only for gaming and for counting it dosent have to be live stream in early stage just regular upload like rapidvideo is good example of it and make search like youtube on the web site and you good to go..For counting system all videos can have one views for same ip/24h ....New videos-new reward for same ip...
 
Ok i mean like youtube not to copy-paste heheh.Just promote(advertise) platform site when you finish all over the world to get users.
Remember this is era of gaming every day is more and more gamers who recording gameplay and put on internet.
