I think currents limitations for unregistered and free users are just fine.

Wait 10sec or 60sec makes really no difference. But 10min or 30mins or 1-2 hours makes HUGE difference.
Many minutes of waiting will really put off free users.

But it's a balancing game for host owners. If they appeal more to free users, then there will also be more people uploading content. The more content available, it will also be more appealing for people to consider buy premium.
This is why you offer PPD, it's for uploaders who may have content and traffic from regions where it's difficult to get sales. Even though they may never make any sales, there will still be some premium users downloading from them at some point, and this is where the revenue comes from to pay for the PPD.
Hosts needs to consider the whole picture, and not just see if PPD users makes sales or not. Well, if they did make sales, they wouldn't have been on PPD, would they?

Something is not quite right about download counts at fileom.
On 25th, I upped some files and now nearly 2 days later this is the stats:

fileom

As you can see, some of the files haven't been downloaded at all on fileom, despite that I'm pretty sure that people do download them.
As I said before. All I want is ACCURATE download counts so that files that do get downloaded will be kept alive.
Otherwise the situation will be similar to bitshare, where they just count 1IP/24 hours and eventually I have lots of files expired after 60 days despite that I'm confident people are downloading.
I even have proof of that because I used linkbucks on the bitshare links, and there were counts on linkbucks, but 0 on bitshare.

I haven't bothered with using likbucks on my fileom links yet, but I will probably have to do this on my next batch of uploads just to prove the inconsistencies of fileom's counting.

These are very unnerving comparisons, mate. I truly hope there's some reasonable explanation. I've transferred about 30GB of data from UL with ~90 still waiting. Wouldn't want quite a bit of time and more importantly bw being wasted.

Hey please report me if download count doesn't work. No one has reported so far. If you worry about file deleting please get whitelisted from me.

And we count only 100% complete download. I have made change lets see how it for you guys. I am open for suggestions please let me know all through pm.

Apparently, they would be coming back pretty sooner than we think...

i prefer terafile. why?

- terafile is more allowed in forums as other hosts (Newcomer)

- worldwide usable & stable

- i use terafile as mirror to shavegator ;) (pps)

- terafile give highest ppd earnings & count stable

- VERY FAST REMOTE UPLOADS from other hosts ( rapidgator, bitshare etc)

- trusted payouts

Just read the post by SeeingMole regarding the download stats from FileOM and I too have noticed that some of my files appear to have low download stats compared to my Ultramegabit files. For instance, if I post a 750mb+ UMB file I get around 800 downloads on that file after about 5/6 days, whereas a FileOM link with very similar content/size barely hits triple figures after a week?, I`m not accusing them of cheating or anything like that because they ALWAYS pay and I`m happy using them but something must be going wrong somewhere? Smaller files don`t appear to be affected, it`s just large files. Just my 2 cents.

Becoz we have a settings before longer file should be download with in 2 hours. So most user download got terminated. But now we have extended their limit to 8 hours per file. So you should see good stats now.

still now counting sales is fine for me FileOM,
oh..weekend waiting for big sales, hope this weekend it cross some 6 sales per day thing :P

hi guys, you all know ryushare is busted last week.

Uploaded.net and ryushare, these two paid in euros, atleast these guys paid lot compared to other filehosts in dollar, but uploaded.net is in uncontrolled shaving mode, so what you guys are recommending as alternative to ryushare

fileOM
fileparadox
terafile
uploadable
oboom

Big Shaving filehosts :
Rapidgator
Uploaded.net

already you guys know i am the fileOM user for long time with more than 3 sales per day (more in weekend), and i pm'ed filegrasper and tweaked some setting for better sale in fileOM. (if you're site owner means, please convince fileom admin to get that 20 % from website sales, you will understood why i am telling this...)

like that what you're using and what you recommend ?

Offtpic:
Don't use single filehost, atleast use one mirror

I used FileOM for almost a year and i didn't get a single sale .I read about this famous "tweak" and i asked from filegrasper to do this to my account.I don't know what is this trick and i cannot understand how a tweak could increase your sales from the moment you don't have sales at all.Anyway he did this tweak on my account and almost immediately i got my first and last sale.Actually it wasn't a sale but a rebill on a file that if i remember well it wasn't even mine .Useless to say i didn't get any other sale or rebill again

smartboy,smartboy...actually you give me the impression like you are filegrasper with an second account
it's just too much of promotion

Baze also and a couple more. It's so obvious if you have a look at their signatures.

... and fileom's real owner is none other than.. the mudder packer donandy2005 a.k.a mr fake files!

Yes,donandy2005 is very popular for his scams with the fake files.Just type donandy2005 on google and you'll get tones of complains about him.

And don't forget the "good samaritan" Baze with his pm's:

"Hello mate. IF your earnings and long payment you are not satisfied - than i have idea for you to improve sales.

Its last my report of fileom.

So if you interesting in it - PM me your skype id. "

I'm not promoting FileOm but i recommend their service and affiliate program since i tried them already. they really count sales and rebills, and btw, filegrasper is considerate for uploaders/partners, he answers queries and requests by members, so don't blame the guy if he promote too much, that's why he's here. :D

I am not blaming him for not counting sales ect.
Just i have doubts that behind a few user of WJ is not the same person as they are promoting almost from the start of FileOM.
Thinking this is just tricky to make an unknown filehost faster growing as it would happen naturally and WJ is the best platform to do this.

May they count real but they are spamming almost the whole WJ including sending PM's to members to move to FileOM.
In my understanding isnt very trustful doing this way...

However, i am glad for every host on the market which doing an serious business...but pls guys STOP SPAMMING
