Russian domain registrar

Hi, is it a good idea to register my site with a Russian domain registrar? I wanted to register my Porn warez site with Enom but they declined my credit card from unknown reasons. I decided to go with Russian and i think its good because its outside the US but i would like to know your opinion, does it has some negative effect on anything?
