Well I always wanted to setup an automated site..I made one for TVshows.

Please review guyz . What changes should I make to get better traffic ?

This is my first time with wordpress. Its been one week since the site is online.
We have a free theme installed with almost none customizations, except a few plugins. No intentions to submit to ddl sites right now I would like to have organic traffic.

Thanks to siditto for the banner and favicon.

Changes may occur in future

  • Adding more download file hosts.
  • May change posting layout.
  • Custom theme

Updates:

New Skin (New logo coming)
5 file hosts (3 more coming soon including MU and MF)

Let's be honest .

Nice idea of TV Shows.

I think site needs new theme .

That's it ! Nothing else to be changed , everything is perfect .

1. Get a new skin, logo, favicon. (preferrably a colourful one, and tv-related)
2. Organize the TV shows in categories i.e. each category is the show name. (since you're only posting tv updates)
3. Include the description for each TV show when you post.

To get more traffic:
4. Get rid of the tag cloud - it damages your SEO.
5. Install the platinumseo plugin for wordpress and edit the settings for your preference.
6. Nofollow and noindex all tag pages and categories.
7. Do some on-site SEO, then off-site SEO. (this takes a long time)

1.Yeah I know I will be changing the theme soon .

A log (rlslog etc) usually refers to new scene releases.

I see plenty of old releases (as old as 2007 and 2009). Get some original material or your blog will end up with dozens of other blogs.

We only do Scene releases but not latest releases. I believe the posts you are referring as old content is from DVDRIP category. Have a check at scenedb's :).
 
add page navi...add tv categories like action,docu, reality etc...makes navigation better

if you want to get pagelinks in google, dont add NOINDEX to tag and/or category pages depending on the way you have structured your site

I really like scene blogs with normal skins which are not over hyped. So good choice, I'd say :)

Things I'd like you to look into:

- The title. Remove the "." from the title. From The.7pm.Project.2011.06.20.The.Garden.Project.WS.PDTV.XviD-FQM to The 7pm Project 2011 06 20 The Garden Project WS PDTV XviD-FQM.
- Put this in the center. It'll look better.
- Add a new favicon.
- Why is there so much space between each links? http://snpr.cm/OzLdON.png
- Make this a new button. Some sleek button would look nice :)
- Why do you need to type this two times?
- If you want, add a catchy tag line.
- You've made screenshots as your banner and banner as your screenshots. http://snpr.cm/CqrHnT.png fix it.
- This post has missing links. Fix it.
- Instead of Airdate, put pre-time.
- Add a new category, TV Packs. Trust me, it'll get you more downloads then these single shows.

New things I'd like to add:

- Banner sucks.
- Change the title. it should be TV and not Tv.

Done and about classifying shows on the basis genre its on to-do list now.
 
looks nice, not really a fan of cornered edges ...
the new banner is ok
i like the screenshots i mean the way they are placed rest everything seems fine
