I see that the SSL is the one slowing it down. I've removed it by default but can be accessed from the footer :)
Thanks for showing me.
 
You should set the link which is typed in to automatically do a http:// in front. Users don't want to bother entering that themselves.
 
You're right, but long URLs aren't usually typed in, they are copied with the http link. But i might add in better URL recognition later.
