If only I could backup all my data.. Then I would create a dispute with paypal, and bid farewell to rapidspeeds..

As it is, I have some important stuff there, so my hands are tied for now.

If you want someone to trust, go with OVH or Swiftway. There are no other providers in that price bracket that actually own their own hardware.

You can't trust any company as long as people like you are around.

Even if its fixable now, Rapidspeeds guys will find it better to shut it down and run with money, because if they fix it everyone will take backup of the data and move to some other host.

They will lose most of there customers even if they manage to bring back the servers online. So any sane guy will find it better to leave everything as it is right now.


So instead of saying that "you only care about backup", say that you will buy atleast 1 year subscription if your server comes back online. This might encourage them to try to fix things

The legal issues that leaseweb is talking about are regarding them using the data on RapidSpeeds' servers to provide you with the backups. They cannot use the data just like that. It's not about RapidSpeeds being in trouble. My best guess is that RapidSpeeds' management decided to wrap it up and end the business while they're ahead and possibly put the pre-payments into their own pockets, hence the dissolvement.

^ if rapidspeed has to stay for long, they wont do it. Something similar happened with servedome but they still exist & thats important when u are good & are here to stay. Atleast users would be assured that they didnt run away last time... they wont runaway anytime soon.
