Hello everyone, i have a current dedicated server and i think Im paying to much with the current traffic I'm having.

I have a wordpress site with 1k max traffic every time i track traffic on whos.amung.

Please suggest me a dedicated server that suits my current traffic until it reach like 2k max.

I need to know what processor (single core, dual core, or quadcore and the speed) and ram should be needed with a burst traffic of say 2k at once.

Wordpress can be pretty intensive on the server resources though it can depend on what plugins you use optimization etc.
You say 1k visitors is daily or is it 1K visitors on your website at once?

What is your current bandwidth consumption?
 
1k is at max at once. In WHM 3 months average bandwidth is 500 Gig and my limit is 10000 Gig.
My current dedicated is

Single Xeon Quad-Core E3-1230 3.2Ghz w/HT
4GB ram
Bandwidth Limit 10000 GB
WHM Load Averages: 0.50 0.50 0.50 rarely goes to 1.++

I'm paying $250 for it and been using it 7 months now. And i think i'm overpaying on this dedicated with my current needs.
 
You might be over paying. Depends.

I would suggest you get a lot more RAM and setup caching. This will make a big difference.
 
Yes, you are overpaying.

You can easily do with a Dual Core i3/i5 Processor clocked around 2.5 Ghz
4 GB Ram (You can drop down to 2 too, but it would be better to stay on 4GB and enable caching)
