Hi all

i m new in dedicated server so i need u r help

I planing to buy new dedicated server for encoding, torrent leeching,seeding and uploading in fileshosting


can u suggest me which best Ubuntu Desktop or Other ??

If its private server and not seeding massive amounts you should be fine with any host, aslong as you don't take the piss and don't make it obvious of your activities.

I would recomend ubuntu for torrents etc,

deluge, rtorrent are available with plugins to do the filehost upload thing.

If you are looking to go the cheap way I can recommend Kimsufi.co.uk Dedicated server along with Ubuntu. If you are comfortable using the Linux Command Line you can go with Ubuntu server or Cent OS as well. Alternatively you can opt for a 1Gbps Port Speed server from OVH as well.
